Dr. John Morehead, MD
Inventor, President, Chief Technology Officer
Dr. John Morehead has been a board certified obstetric and gynecologic physician for 38 years, with a concentration in high-risk obstetrical care, and is the inventor of Avana Health’s HemmoStat system.
Peter Pacult, MBA
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Pacult has 20 years of experience in finance and life sciences. With extensive operational experience, he has previously built organizations from the ground up and assembled high-performance teams.
Michael Royals DVM
Chief Science Officer
Dr. Royals trained as a translational medicine specialist in the DVM/Ph.D. program at Colorado State University. He subsequently managed a California-based contract research laboratory for B. Braun Medical, serving as PI for GLP safety and toxicology studies, and developing complex animal models for a wide range of medical applications.
Angela Morehead, DNP, FNP
Research Director
Dr. Angela Morehead has been a women’s healthcare provider for 15 years and is the Research Director for Avana Health. She received her BSN and MSN from Middle Tennessee State University, and her DNP from Belmont University.
Howard Settle, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Settle has 50 years’ experience in business, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. He previously founded a $750mm company and has successfully raised $250mm for different ventures over his career.

Malcolm G. Munro MD, FRCSC, FACOG

Dr. Munro is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and on the staff of Kaiser Permanente's Los Angeles Medical center. Dr. Munro’s clinical and research interests are oriented to disorders of the uterus, adnexae and surrounding structures including diagnosis, medical management and, when needed, minimally invasive approaches be they hysteroscopic, laparoscopic, vaginal or image guided.

Ms. Singata-Madliki is Executive Director of the Effective Care Research Unit, University of Witwatersrand based in east London, South Africa . She is a midwife with experience of more than 22 years in Randomised Control Trials.
She has a Diploma in General Nursing Science , Community Nursing Science, Psychiatry and Midwifery from Ciskei Nursing College (2000), a Masters in Business Administration from the Regent Business School (2008), and a Doctorate in Philosophy, University of Cape Town (2014)
